The Coast Wake Up Show
Join Jody O’Donnell
Weekdays 6:00am-10:00am!
Jody O’Donnell has been a fixture of the area radio scene
since 1999. He grew up in Maryland and fell in love with the
Outer Banks while vacationing on these sands as a youth. He
worked a couple of jobs before he got into radio. He was
named “Lifeguard of the Year” at the Royal York apartment
complex (there was only one lifeguard) He also stayed
employed at a McDonalds for an undetermined amount of
time. Jody’s biggest claim to fame there was that he always
gave customers more McNuggets than they actually ordered.
Despite showing great promise in the world of fast food, he
turned his name tag in for good in June 1997. Mickey D’s loss
has been radio’s gain. Jody’s wife Dawn is a first grade
teacher in Currituck County. Their son is an Air Force Captain
and his daughter studies Communications at Appalachian
State University.
